The Villages and Orlando Airport

The Villages sits about 60 miles northwest of Orlando International Airport – about an hour and fifteen minutes by road, down the Turnpike from US 441. There is no scheduled service that runs it, and it is well outside the range of the shuttles that line up at the terminal. What works is a car booked in advance: it arrives at your door at the time you set, and it goes straight to your terminal.

Most of the trips we book here start at home rather than at the airport. You have an early flight, you would rather not leave a car in a garage for two weeks or ask a neighbor to make a two-and-a-half-hour round trip at five in the morning, and a taxi this far out of Orlando is not a realistic option. A driver at the door at the hour you chose solves all three, and the flight home is booked at the same time so the return is already arranged before you leave.

Booked to Your Own Front Door

Enter your street address in the booking form the way you would enter a hotel name elsewhere on this site. A residential address is an ordinary booking – there is nothing special to arrange and no surcharge for picking you up at a house rather than a hotel lobby.

Two details are worth adding when you book, because they are what turns a simple pickup into a phone call from the gate at 5 a.m.: the gate or entrance your driver should use, and a cell number they can reach that morning. Both go in the special requests box. If you are booking on behalf of a parent or a relative, put their cell number there rather than your own.

How early will the driver arrive for a morning flight?

You choose the pickup time, and the ride itself is about an hour and fifteen minutes. Allowing three hours before a domestic departure and four before an international one leaves room for the drive, the traffic that builds on the Turnpike after seven, and the check-in line at the other end. Your driver holds the time you booked — nothing here is scheduled around other passengers.

Is there a shared-ride shuttle to The Villages?

No. The shared-ride shuttles work the hotel corridor around the theme parks and do not run this far north, so every quote you will see for The Villages is a private vehicle reserved for your party alone — a sedan for one or two travelers, and SUVs, vans and a stretch limousine for larger groups heading out together.

Which addresses around The Villages can you quote?

The Villages itself (ZIP 32162 and 32163), Lady Lake (32159) and Leesburg (34748 and 34788). Enter the street address you are actually traveling from, rather than "The Villages", because the quote is built from that ZIP. Some immediate neighbors — Wildwood, Oxford, Fruitland Park and Summerfield among them — sit outside our rate zones today and will return no quotes; if that is you, get in touch and we will price it by hand.

Can I book the airport-to-home leg as well?

Yes, and booking both directions at once is the usual thing to do. Give your inbound flight number and your driver tracks it, so a delay on the way home does not leave you standing at baggage claim wondering whether anyone is coming. You will not be charged wait time for a late flight.

How far in advance should I book?

Bookings are taken at least 24 hours ahead, and for a trip this far out of Orlando 48 hours is more comfortable — the vehicle is committed to you for the better part of three hours, so the companies covering the route want it on their schedule early. Book once your flights are confirmed.

Is it cheaper to drive and park at MCO?

Not usually, once the trip is more than a few days. Parking at MCO adds up over two weeks, and it is on top of 120 miles of driving in each direction and a car sitting in a garage the whole time you are away. Compare the round-trip fare against the parking and the mileage before you decide — and for a couple traveling together it is often closer than people expect.

Enter your address and your dates and see what the route costs. If your address is not quotable from our rate tables the form will say so rather than leave you guessing – and you can start a search here.
